This policy explains how Henlow Bridge Lakes & Riverside Ltd, trading as Kingfisher Park Storage, handles your personal information. We are the data controller for the information described here.
Who we are
Henlow Bridge Lakes & Riverside Ltd, Bridge End Road, Henlow, Bedfordshire SG16 6LN. Registered in England and Wales, company number 02337170. VAT number 678 8524 72.
You can contact us about anything in this policy at storage@kingfisherparkstorage.co.uk or on 01462 342 058.
What we collect
- Your name, address, telephone number and email address
- Details of the unit you store with us, including make, model, length and registration
- A copy of your insurance certificate, which we are required to hold for the duration of storage
- Payment records relating to your storage contract
- CCTV footage of the storage compounds and their entrances
- Records of entry to and exit from the compound associated with your electronic entry tag
Why we use it
We use your contact and unit details to administer your storage contract, to reach you if there is a problem with your unit, and to contact you about renewal. We hold insurance certificates because our site rules require every unit to be insured. We use payment records to meet our accounting and tax obligations.
CCTV and entry records are used to keep the site secure, to investigate incidents, and to establish who was on site if something is damaged or taken. This is necessary for our legitimate interests in protecting the property stored with us and the safety of people on site.
Who we share it with
We share CCTV footage and entry records with our external alarm monitoring provider, which monitors the site on our behalf. We will disclose footage or records to the police or to an insurer where there is a lawful basis to do so, for example in the investigation of a crime or an insurance claim.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
Contract and payment records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law. CCTV footage is retained for a limited period and then overwritten in the normal operation of the system, unless it has been retained for a specific incident.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to object to certain uses of it, and in some circumstances to have it deleted. To make a request, email us at the address above.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
