Cassoa
Platinum on both compounds
What the Platinum award means
Cassoa is the national accreditation scheme for caravan and motorhome storage, and Platinum is its highest level. Sites are visited by specialist surveyors and scored on perimeter fencing, access control, the entry and exit system, CCTV, alarms and fire protection. The score comes from what the surveyor finds, not from what the owner says. Both of our compounds hold Platinum, and we are re-surveyed to keep it.
Perimeter fencing surveyed and scored
Access control and the entry and exit system assessed
CCTV coverage and monitoring checked
Alarm systems and response times reviewed
Fire protection inspected
Re-surveyed to retain the award
Why it matters to you
Storage sites are easy to describe well and hard to compare. Accreditation is the one part of the picture checked by somebody with no stake in the answer.
Ask when it was awarded
Ask which award a site holds and when it was last surveyed. Awards lapse, and the scheme has changed in recent years.
Ask what it covers
Ask whether the whole site is accredited or only part of it. Ours is both compounds, not one of them.
Tell your insurer
A Cassoa accredited site can affect the cover you are offered and what it costs, so tell them where your unit is stored.

What Platinum looks like here
The award is the shorthand. This is what it actually means on our site.
2.4m concrete perimeter fencing topped with barbed wire on both Kingfisher Park compounds
A perimeter security beam system wired into the alarm network on all three
CCTV across the whole perimeter, monitored 24/7 by an external monitoring station
Internal CCTV plus remotely operated PTZ cameras covering each site
Airlock entry controlled by a PIN unique to you
Alarms passed immediately to on duty staff by telephone
